I am a big fan of green tea. I drink it hot in the winter and ice-cold during summer months. I try to have a large pitcher of this tea in my fridge at all times. Green tea is just so refreshing and healthy. It’s loaded with antioxidants and nutrients that have powerful effects on the body. And, green tea is inexpensive and easy to find all over the world.
Green tea also works great as a topical beauty ingredient, with skin care benefits that range from busting acne to warding off wrinkles and saggy skin.
This mask is so easy to make and makes my skin feeling soft and hydrated.I saw some YouTubers make green tea and yogurt masks, but I decided to use honey as a base to mix the tea into a mask.
For a single use, I mixed one tea bag (dipped in water then cut open) with one teaspoon of honey to form a mask. I applied it to my entire face and left it on for 10 minutes. Before I rinsed my face with warm water, I took advantage of the slightly abrasive texture of tea (great exfoliator) by rubbing in circular motions with my fingertips.
I’m a huge fan of using everyday ingredients to create affordable masks and scrubs. Hope you guys will try this and see some great results. Are you a fan of green tea? Do you have a tea beauty recipe? I’d love to hear from you.
