Nashville to New York

During our spring break, I visited my daughter Christy in New York. She moved there last year, straight after college. Christy settled in Brooklyn (Williamsburg), an up and coming neighborhood full of millennials, dogs, cute restaurants, bakeries and vintage shops. You can read more about her move here.

Christy loves living and working in New York. The city gives her energy and a positive outlook on life. Right now, she cannot see herself living in any other place. During the week she works hard. On weekends she loves being outside. Discovering Brooklyn and Manhattan – mostly by foot – is one of her favorite things to do. I’m so proud of her and the life she has created for herself. It takes guts to move to the Big Apple at such a young age. But it takes even more to thrive in one of the most expensive and busiest cities in the world. Hats off (or cheers) to living life to the fullest, Christy!

New York

While there, we walked and walked and walked. When we stopped, we ate. Pizza, bagels, steak, cannoli, and carrot cake in Brooklyn; pan fried dumplings and noodles in Chinatown; fancy waffles in Manhattan.
