Each time the front door knob hit this wall, this hole got a little bigger. Not exactly pretty to look at, so I decided to patch it up. Luckily, drywall damage can be fixed easily with minimal equipment.
Items needed:
Self adhesive mesh
Joint compound
Drywall knife
Paint
Step #1: Place a small piece of mesh over the hole.
Step #2: With the drywall knife cover the patch with compound, using a crisscross pattern.
Step #3: Sand smooth.
Step #4: Paint
To prevent further drywall damage, I installed a door stop.
